In this series of articles, we examine the gig economy's impact on labor markets, highlighting its transformative nature and the challenges it presents.
The first article, authored by Akhila S, Simran, and Himadri, explores the foundational aspects of the gig economy, defining its characteristics and contrasting it with traditional employment models. They discuss how digital platforms facilitate gig work and the implications for job security and worker protections.
The second article, written by Diksha, focuses on the global rise of the gig economy, analyzing technological advancements and changing consumer needs that have fueled this trend.
